Saturday and Sunday and nothing has changed. I discussed with my children in our group WhatsApp what we want to do over Easter and we all decided that confidently planning ahead now seemed trickier and a little unnatural.
Monday 29th March is the start in England of unlocking lockdown for hopefully the final time. We can now meet up again outside up to six people or any number if it's just two households.
Coffee morning with the neighbours as usual and this afternoon Daughter came over with R, O and the dog.

Got my letter from the government to officially say it's time to stop shielding.
Daughter lent me this book. Serious covid from the patients view point. Brief, poetic as you'd expect from Michael Rosen, insightful, anyone whose ever been in hospital can relate to so much of it, and so so powerful. I'll say no more as you need to read it.
Good Friday was very good as Son and fiancé came over for the afternoon with their adorable little dog. In the garden of course, with heater, windbreak screen, blankets and hot water bottles and still really chilly.
Happy Easter everyone, enjoy your new freedom but stay very safe.

It was odd planning the Dorset trip after so long being told to stay home as although free to travel for day trips, actually making firm plans was impossible as so weather dependent due to having to stay outside. Ok for Mum&K to wrap up and sit outside for a little while but not so much for Gdad (93). In the end it was the Sunday we opted for as it had been forecast to be the kindest day weather-wise. Decided to go on the basis that we would just stay a short while if too cold. As it turned out it was gorgeously sunny and Gdad sat in the doorway whilst we sat in the garden, mostly so he didn't have to navigate any steps. It did mean we were letting all his heat out but as so sunny it was probably a good chance to have a full air change in the bungalow and his solar panels would have been benefitting likewise from the sunshine. So good to see them all.
Ended up so sunny we had to seek shade as C&I were getting burnt (no suncream and C didn't have a hat).
Glad you had a lovely weekend too and we can look forward to more garden gatherings.
Sorry about the tooth. That doesn't sound fun at all.
