Everything Is Better With Chocolate......

Lovely catchup meal out with friendsL&K and friendsL&M for a late lunch. It was at The Old King's Head in Essex about an hour's drive from us. A restaurant pub full of old world charm, though not as old world as all the pictures and references to Henry XIII around the place suggest.
We brought friendK's computer home for Hubby to fix, which he did the next day.

I made another attempt to use up my spare box of Rice Krispies.
You may remember my first attempt at just stirring the cereal into melted chocolate but the Krispies didn't stay crispy. So I tried again this time using a recipe for rocky-road hoping the method would work even though I'm changing the filling. I had both dark and milk chocolate and stirred in some rolled oats into each to give them substance, then sandwiched the two layers with a good layer of Krispies and raisins. It needed a long while in the fridge to firm up enough to cut into squares. Hubby and I both liked them and they still had crispy texture, so I took some over to NeighbourAB who liked them too. This all started because NeighbourAB had a box and a half she wanted ideas for, however, she'd since talking about it a couple of weeks ago had a visitor who she'd given hers to hahaha.

Hubby has finished another jigsaw.
With all the writing this one was quick which has been perfect on so many dry gardening days.

It has felt like a busy week but I can't actually think what else I need to mention here.
There's been just popping to a neighbour to tell them something or give them something (I think it was three different neighbours at three different times).
Popping into Daughter's for a quick cuppa then forgetting to bring the dog food home she'd got ready for us.
Hubby chasing the doctors again for the very sore mouth problem he's had since last October and he's still waiting for the hospital referral appointment.
Oh and I cleared the ironing!

Very chilly but mostly very sunny and so much colour in the garden that all has felt good. Long may it continue.
