Holiday Cruise 12 - 23 April 2014
I'm typing this in as we go and saving to paste into the blog later so hopefully I won't forget a thing. I'll not bother with the geography or travel brochure stuff as all that I can find online, but even without I can see this becoming far too long for one post, so here is just Day 1...
Saturday 12th left home at 5:15am and got to Gatwick airport in good time. Feeling a bit excited but mostly sad that friendsL&K aren't coming. Flight all good and car transfer good too. Stateroom/cabin is nice although a bit dusty. We went to the compulsory safety drill which also gave us our first look at the theatre. There was a welcome bbq by the pool with a live band then into the Spinnaker bar (just one of many) for Hubby to have a pint. Back to our cabin for a shower and change and was hoping for a cup of tea as it is all supplied in the room, however the coffee percolator didn't seem capable of just boiling water for tea so we asked and they found us a kettle. Dinner was in the Alizar restaurant which was lovely then we went to the welcome aboard show which just about finished us off especially as we have to be up early in the morning. So finally a good cup of tea then bed.
